[Concert Review] The Kills @ Tonhalle 2011

Munich, Germany. It's Tuesday night on 29th November at Tonhalle. Time for another show! At about 9 p.m. the indie rockers Alice Mosshart and Jamie Hince - also known as The Kills - are stepping on the stage. Jamie got his guitar whining and started the drum machine, while Katie grabed for a mic. In the background appeared four angry looking mens with drum sticks - a friends' opinion: 'there were pretty cool.' Black leather jackets and red shawl over the mouth like western bandits - and each one stepped behind two percussions. So, that they winged the Kills. The crowd - about 1000 people - freak out when the band started playing.
The Kills were awesome! They played of course new stuff out of the new album "Blood Pressure" and many more. But when they played the first chords of "Cheap and Cheerful", the crowd - in my opinion - seemed to wake up and get wild. Before that they only swayed back and forth or a danced a little bit. Well, there is nothing bad about that. But I've seen a lot of gigs and there is more fun when the crowd is more with the band, in the way of jumping, waving their hands, just moving more.
Also, I have to say, that the sound in the venue wasn't the best. I had to stand a the left side and when stepped more and more to center of the venue, the sound got with each meter better. So, I also were a little bit disappointed.
Summary: I loved to see the Kills. But I wished I had seen them at a smaller venue with less people. So, I missed the WOW-effect - like: WOW, that concert was brilliant. The 30 Euros were it totally worthy. - after the concert was over. But that wasn't the fault of the Kills. There were awesome. Katie and Jamie played with a lot of passion. Thank you, guys!

The Kills - DNA

London, England. Some weeks ago I posted the new single "Satellite" of The Kills. Now, there is another song of this gorgeous band out there. It's named "DNA" and makes even more joy of waiting for the new album. And we don't have to wait this long. 4th April it will be there. You get the track "DNA" here.

The Kills - Satellite

London, England. Hooray, lovely readers! When I said at the beginning of this year, it will be a great one (musical), I've meant it. Jamie Hince and Alison Mosshart or better known as THE KILLS will release another great album on 4th/5th April 2011. The LP is entitled "Blood Pressures". Oh man, I so happy to right this post and give you a foretaste, called "Satellite".
